I joined Eagle upon recommendation of a friend who’d trained with Marty DeVietti, and I count myself fortunate for my friend’s nudge in the right direction, this after a poor experience with a company in Colorado. I came to Eagle knowing virtually nothing of the sport, thinking I was going to get skills-based instruction, but I’ve experienced so much more than that. As a newbie, I didn’t fully appreciate what was before me — the spark that’d made me want to try paragliding was really the start of a personal journey of self-discovery, one which involved trust in others, trust in myself, and a new kind of awareness. I’ve discovered that paragliding is so much more than what I had first imagined it to be. This journey takes time, and I’m so glad I’ve chosen a company that’ll be there with me for the duration. For me, Eagle has become family.
