Chris has spent most of his life here in Santa Barbara. He discovered paragliding in 2019 after spotting local pilots launching near La Cumbre Peak. Like other SB locals, he chose to train with Eagle at the very same hill he teaches on today. Shortly after joining the Eagle team, he managed to log his first 100+ mile flights in only his third season flying. Although he considers himself a recreational pilot, he tries to fly cross country on every flight. When soaring conditions aren’t great, he can be found riding his bike up to launch for a quick sled ride down. Chris has a conservative teaching style and is very weather oriented. He loves watching his students and friends succeed. His long-term goal is to see the world from beneath his paraglider by taking international vacations to as many flying sites as possible.
