Marty DeVietti has been paragliding since 1991, and received the 2000 Instructor of The Year Award from the USHPA, making him the 2nd individual to receive this distinctive award. Marty is a natural teacher with the skill to present any aspect of the sport and the methodology always keeping things exciting and fun. Marty is a fixed wing, instrument rated pilot with a degree in Aviation Flight Technology from Central Washington University, and a Master rated (P5), and Tandem Instructor as well. He has instructed at schools in Arizona, California, and Washington. Marty enjoys flying cross-country, guiding on international tours, and has flown in competitions in France, Spain, Brazil, Slovenia, Canada, Mexico! He was a member of the US team where they competed in Bulgaria in 2013. Marty guides on Eagle’s winter tours in Colombia, and is one of our ace tandem pilots in Santa Barbara. He is also a repair guru, and seems to have just the right equipment and material to fix anything from any corner of the planet.
