Mitch Riley

Mitch started with Eagle in 2015, and his input has elevated the continued support that our Eagle Alumni, and pilots in our local community receive after their initial training. Our staff learns so much from each other, and Mitch’s presence has left a lasting impression.  Mitch’s work at the flight park, Eagle Paragliding flying roads trips, and on our annual Colombia tours will have a lasting affect on our program. He has moved from a full time instructor to a part time position, and is relocating to Seattle. He is starting a new path to become a commercial pilot, and will be based in Seattle with his partner accomplished paraglider pilot Violeta Jimenez. We are excited for Mitch, and know he will find great success as a commercial pilot. Mitch will still be instructing on our tours, Clinics, and other events when he can fit them into his schedule. He has quite a resume as the 2015 US Paragliding National Champion, and a 2017 Red Bull X-Alps competitor. He learned to fly in Crested Butte, Colorado. Mitch has traveled as a tandem instructor flying in Sun Valley Idaho, and Pokhara Nepal, and is a seasoned vol-bivouac and acro pilot. He has racked up countless hours flying XC on 4 continents. Mitch has a competitive spirit, but is a calm and cool paragliding instructor.
