Thermal XC Clinic

$995.00$1,895.00

Learning to stay in the game, and connects the dots
Pilots are able to gain valuable insights at the thermal clinic, which helps increase their flight duration moving forward. We get more thermal experience when we can stay up for longer periods of time. These longer duration flights really help pilots develop a feel for tracking and coring thermals. Once you have improved your thermalling technique you are ready to start connecting the dots and flying cross country. Our Thermal XC Clinics follow the same organization and execution as our worldwide tours. There are great locations in North America year-round. Our history in continually bringing together top instructors who are world class pilots in the sport to work as a team is unmatched. Most clinics give you a 10 to 1 student instructor ratio. Our tours have always had a 5 to 1 maximum on our student instructor ratio. Our two decades of experience running tours has shown us the quality diminishes significantly with a student instructor ratio any higher than 5 to 1. We team fly in our clinics when we start making moves to fly cross country much like a gaggle in a paragliding competition. Coaching a gaggle of 10 pilots is unrealistic, and smaller student instructor ratios are a world of difference. Having the smaller ratio allows us to group you with pilots of similar levels, which prevents more experienced pilots from being held back. Our clinic Instructors are actually professional pilots who bring years of real world XC and race to goal experience.

Niviuk Arrow Pod Harness

$1,945.00

AIM HIGH, AIM FAR
A rear fairing harness designed for pilots who want to make the most of their XC adventures and/or start competing. Optimized aerodynamics for drag reduction and performance, and a comfortable, stable, light and durable harness design make up the Arrow.

Target – Cross Country
A performance harness designed for pilots who want to make the most of their everyday XC adventures and those beginning to compete.

Versatility
Optimized weight (3.95 kg in size M), and excellent aerodynamic performance make the Arrow your weapon for cross-country flights, everyday use, and race to goals competitions. The pod can be easily replaced. It is made of semi-light Lycra for added strength. Adjustments are simple (and lightweight), using a series of adjustable knots, and a magnetic closure to minimize any air intake. All of this ensures a great fit, clean profile, and a simple closure system.

Attention to Detail
The Arrow is fitted with a large ergonomic and integrated cockpit with a magnet system so it can be opened easily, even in flight. Also, a powerpack pocket, suitable for cables of different electronic devices, and with a 4 L ballast storage pocket (in size M).

Efficiency and Performance
The rear fairing, with an optimized aerodynamic shape, reduces drag. Therefore, the fairing improves performance, and gives better yaw balance, thus providing a more stable, comfortable, and precise harness aid in the control of your glider and pilots intention.

XC Tracer Mini 5 Solar GPS-Vario

$599.00

The Mini V is here!

Don’t be surprised if you never have to charge your XC Tracer Mini V during a whole season! The vario has a built-in lithium-polymer battery which, fully charged, lasts for about 30 hours of continuous use. But as the battery is recharged during flight by the built-in solar cells, the autonomy is almost unlimited.

Thanks to the instantaneous climb/descent display, finding and centering thermals is much easier with a Mini V than with a conventional variometer.

Woody Valley GTO Light

$1,695.00

Woody Valley’s GTO Light pod harness is now available. The fully-certified performance cocoon harness weighs just 3kg in the M size.

It has no seat board, using two detachable fibreglass side battens instead to keep weight down, and the pod is detachable using a zip.

In addition to the homologated back protection, the harness comes with an additional upper-back protector, as used in the Haska 2 and Wani 2 harnesses. There is just one reserve housing with a right-hand-side handle.

The instrument panel is detachable, and the cockpit is roomy enough to fit an anti-G. The harness has plenty of storage space, both in the back and under the seat (where you can put ballast). There are large neoprene side pockets, plus a slot-type pocket to store a camera or radio in easy reach without spoiling the harness’s aerodynamics.

The GTO Light is intended for serious hikers, and as such Woody Valley have included a dedicated telescopic pole holder. There are also drinks bladder routings and a pee system.
