Thermal XC Clinic

$795.00$1,495.00

Learning to stay in the game, and connects the dots
Pilots are able to gain valuable insights at the thermal clinic, which helps increase their flight duration moving forward. We get more thermal experience when we can stay up for longer periods of time. These longer duration flights really help pilots develop a feel for tracking and coring thermals. Once you have improved your thermaling technique you are ready to start connecting the dots and flying cross country. Our Thermal XC Clinics follow the same organization and execution as our worldwide tours. There are great locations in North America year-round. Our history in continually bringing together top instructors who are world class pilots in the sport to work as a team is unmatched. Most clinics give you a 10 to 1 student instructor ratio. Our tours have always had a 5 to 1 maximum on our student instructor ratio. Our two decades of experience running tours has shown us the quality diminishes significantly with a student instructor ratio any higher than 5 to 1. We team fly in our clinics when we start making moves to fly cross country much like a gaggle in a paragliding competition. Coaching a gaggle of 10 pilots is unrealistic, and smaller student instructor ratios are a world of difference. Having the smaller ratio allows us to group you with pilots of similar levels, which prevents more experienced pilots from being held back. Our clinic Instructors are actually professional pilots who bring years of real world XC and race to goal experience.

XC Tracer Mini Maxx

$799.00
  • Maximum for all
Whether you’re a beginner or a pro – with the XC Tracer Maxx you fly intuitively like never before. It’s not that XC Tracer Varios are only suitable for professionals, quite the opposite. Professionals like Chrigel have been flying for so long that it doesn’t make much difference to them if the beeping of the vario and what you feel doesn’t match. For pilots with less flying experience, flying with an XC Tracer Maxx becomes an intuitive experience, what the vario beeps indicate and what you feel matches perfectly. Come to one of the testivals and try it yourself, you will be amazed how easy it is to fly in thermals with an XC Tracer.
  • Maximum precision
Legendary sensitive Vario technology, with no time lag: Conventional variometers have the disadvantage that climb and sink rate always displayed with a more or less large time lag. The XC Tracer Maxx combines the data from different sensors with a complicated mathematical algorithm and eliminates this time lag. Thanks to the instantaneous display of climb / descent rate, flying in thermals with a Maxx is much easier than with a conventional variometer.

Woody Valley – Wani Light 2

$999.00

Weighing just 2.7 kg, the simplicity and comfort of the WANì LIGHT 2 in flight will amaze you

The Wanì light 2 airbag has been majorly improved to provide an even higher safety level.

Thanks to the use of Nitinol (highly resistant and non-deformable metal wire) inserted in the lower edge of the airbag, we were able to obtain 60% of the protective capacity before its complete inflation which takes place in flight.

When fully inflated, it is entirely comparable to our spring airbag harnesses.

The inflation valve has also been improved to guarantee airflow in the airbag regardless of the position of the legs. The thin shape of the valve improves the aesthetics of the airbag.

RIGHT OR LEFT-HAND EXTRACTION

We have always been attentive to the needs of our left-handed customers so you can order your harness with the rescue handle on the left side on request.

XC Tracer Mini 3 Solar GPS-Vario

$350.00

The XC Tracer Mini III GPS is a solar variometer with GPS and BLE, simple and performant. It may weigh only 34 grams but it has more than one trick up its sleeve!

LAG-FREE AUDIO FEEDBACK

Conventional variometers have the major flaw of having a lag between the actual climb/sink rate and the audio feedback. XC Tracer Mini III GPS gives a lag free audio feedback due to the use of an accelerometer combined with the barometer. This allows to be way more efficient in thermals, especially in weak conditions. It is possible to customize the audio feedback sound to your taste here!

GPS LOGGER

XC Tracer Mini III GPS does log an IGC and and KML file in parallel. The IGC files are accepted by F.A.I. for paragliding competitions, and you can look at your track in Google Earth in simply double clicking on a KML file.
