This tubing is silicone instead of being surgical tubing, which will eventually crack. The other thing that makes this tubing better is the large bore diameter on the inside of the tube. Often times urine does not completely vacate the tube and is trapped there in a vacuum with smaller bore surgical tubing. The large bore prevents such vacuuming to occur, which means all the urine escapes the tube in flight, and keeps the fluid off you and your harness after landing.
